ProofLink: Cryptographic IT Receipt System

SHA-256 receipts for every autonomous action. Bitcoin-anchored. Independently verifiable. The accountability layer autonomous IT demands.

What is ProofLink?

ProofLink is iTechSmart's cryptographic receipt system. Every autonomous IT action — whether a pod restart, configuration change, or security remediation — generates a SHA-256 hash at the moment of execution. Each receipt is chained to the previous one, creating an immutable sequence. Receipts are anchored to the Bitcoin blockchain via OpenTimestamps, making them independently verifiable by anyone without contacting iTechSmart. The live receipt ledger is publicly accessible at verify.itechsmart.dev.

Why does it exist?

Logs can be deleted. Logs can be edited. When autonomous AI acts on your infrastructure, a log entry is not evidence — it is a note. ProofLink was built because organizations need proof that can stand up to an audit, a compliance review, or a board inquiry. The word "autonomous" demands accountability. When a system acts on your behalf without a human in the loop, the audit trail must be immutable, independently verifiable, and resistant to after-the-fact manipulation. ProofLink is that accountability layer — built into the UAIO platform from the ground up, not bolted on as an afterthought.

How does it work?

At the moment of action execution, the UAIO platform computes a SHA-256 hash of the action parameters, timestamp, and outcome. That hash is combined with the hash of the previous receipt to form a chain — so no receipt can be retroactively inserted, removed, or altered without breaking the chain. The chain is periodically anchored to the Bitcoin blockchain using the OpenTimestamps protocol, providing a trusted external timestamp that cannot be manipulated by iTechSmart or any other party. Anyone can verify any receipt at verify.itechsmart.dev — no iTechSmart account required.

What problem does it solve?

Compliance frameworks — SOC 2, HIPAA, CMMC, FedRAMP — require audit trails for system changes. Traditional audit logs are mutable and can be manipulated by administrators with sufficient access. ProofLink produces immutable, cryptographically verifiable records that satisfy auditors, regulators, and compliance officers automatically — without manual documentation effort. For organizations deploying autonomous IT operations, ProofLink converts every UAIO action into compliance-grade evidence, making the autonomous system auditable in a way that traditional IT operations never were.
